Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Farewell

To my circus family – thank you. Thank you for your years of hard work, dedication, focus and excellence.

After 146 years, Ringling Bros. closes. This is heartbreaking to me. I have a sense of paternal pride, watching Jonathan Lee Iverson shine and training Kristen Michelle Wilson to be the last Ringmaster and first Female Ringmaster of the show. I want each and every one of you to know that you’ve brought countless moments of joy to millions of families around the world.  The memories you’ve created will be cherished for years to come.

Nothing compares to the energy of live performance.  The energy of a crowd cheering, as they witness live something they may have only ever seen on a small screen.  The inspired smiles on the faces of generations who have seen the circus and passed that tradition on to their young ones.  When you gather the world’s most talented performers and put them all in one place, a magical experience is inevitable.

This has been my family for 10 years. We are saying goodbye to you all soon. You have been such a huge part of my life, you have changed me for good, and I love you so much.
